Clarcor is only one of many companies that have moved to the Nashville suburbs rather than to the city itself, lured in part by good schools.
The fact that they chose the suburbs over the city speaks to the core issue that Metro Nashville's business and political leadership must face head-on.
They must get their public schools back on track -- so the next Clarcor that comes along will at least seriously consider Davidson County. At stake is the income from property and sales taxes needed to help Nashville grow.
